The Scare Eyes Balloons are for use anywhere bird problems exist outdoors. The glaring eyes resemble a predator bird. Its waving streamers and bobbing and weaving motion simulates a live predator bird which frightens the birds immediately.
Scare Eyes Balloons 3-Pack - How to Use
- Inflate Scare Eyes Balloons to 80%-90% full. Do not over inflate. Do not use compressor.
- Peel reflective Mylar eyes and affix to center of black eye markings after removing center pupils.
- Attach Mylar tail to bottom of Scare Eyes Balloon with enclosed string.
- Hang Scare Eyes Balloon: Run string through top grommet and secure.
For best results: move Scare Eyes Baloons periodically and rotate colors. Scare Eye comes in three colors. Research show maximum effectiveness is obtained by rotating colors. No color should be used for more than three weeks or they will lose their effectiveness.
GARDENS, FARM FIELDS, BERRY PATCHES, VINEYARDS
Attach the Scare Eyes Balloons to any type pole (wood-bamboo-PVC pipe). Position the Scare Eyes Balloon at a height so that the mylar tail is approximately 12” (30 cm) above the highest plants.
The number of Scare Eyes Balloons required is in direct proportion to the size of the plot. In most cases, six per acre is a minimum.
ORCHARDS, TREES
For maximum effectiveness the Scare Eyes Balloons should be installed as high as possible above trees so that the Bird Chaser Balloon is very visible to the birds. One Scare Eyes Balloon per tree is usually sufficient.
DECKS, PORCHES, SWIMMING POOLS, BOAT DOCKS, HOMES, STORES
Place the Scare Eyes Balloon where birds are roosting. Position so that the Scare Eyes Balloon is visible to the birds.

The white balloon does NOT remain inflated : there's a small leak somewhere...... Really disappointing for a new item !!
Initially very good but as they are Turkish turtledoves, they get used to it in 7-10 days and we have to change the balloons' location and color.
I think it must be very effective if the bird is not sedentary in the place but we have a pine grove in the garden with 8 large pines and it was their favorite place, now there are still some that hide inside. They do avoid benches and tables that have a balloon nearby. I think it is more effective on sunny and windy days, obviously. If you have a suggestion in my case, I would appreciate it. I will buy another unit. Thank you.
It has not fulfilled its function as a scarecrow at all
It does not scare away birds, it was placed on a fig tree and the birds continued to eat the fruits in the same way as before its placement.
