Ultrasonic Garden Protector 3
The Ultrasonic Garden Protector 3 keeps cats, foxes, rabbits, weasels, herons, martens, dogs, etc. away from your garden and terrace by emitting ultrasonic signals.

Garden Protector 3 - Instructions for Use
- Place the device at a height of between 10 and 80 cm depending on the targeted animal
- Adjust the frequency
- Do not place the device where vehicles and people move around, or in an area congested with obstacles
Installing the Batteries
- The Garden Protector 3 works with 4 “D” LR20 1.5 V batteries.
- Select good quality batteries to ensure optimum operation.
- To insert the batteries: make sure that the device’s ON/OFF switch is on OFF.
- Open the battery compartment and install the 4 batteries ensuring correct polarity as shown on the device.
- Optionally, the device can also work with an adaptor (WKT052) or (WKT052-OUT).
Garden Protector 3 - Operation
- The Ultrasonic Garden Protector 3 comes with an infrared detector that detects movement.
- When the infrared detector detects movement, the device emits high-frequency sounds (ultrasounds) which are not audible to humans (or barely audible), but are highly audible to certain animals: cats, rabbits, foxes, herons, dogs...
- The targeted animals are then disturbed; they change their habits and go elsewhere.
- Detection is effective up to +/- 16 metres.
- As soon as the infrared cell detects movement in its radius of action, the device emits ultrasonic noise of a frequency depending on its adjustment, for about 7 seconds, then returns to standby mode.
- The device is re-triggered after 5 seconds if movements are still detected. The cycle is then repeated.
- The frequency to be selected depends on the type of pest to be repelled and it is printed on the back of the device:
- To repel cats, use frequencies 1 to 7.
- To repel dogs, use frequencies 2 to 7.
- To repel foxes, use frequencies 3 to 7.
- To repel squirrels, martens, ferrets, weasels use frequencies 4 to 7.
- To repel rabbits, use frequencies 5 to 7.
- To repel herons, use frequencies 6 to 7.
- Note: 1 = highest frequency (+/- 24 kHz) and 7 = lowest frequency (+/- 15 kHz).
- The lower the frequency the larger the coverage, up to a maximum of 200 m².
- Humans can hear up to 20 kHz/. You might therefore hear a sort of whistle on certain positions.
- Some old cats or dogs may have hearing that is less sensitive to high-frequency ultrasound (all the more so if they have floppy ears). In this case, a frequency of 4, 5, 6 or even 7 may be necessary for these old animals.
Garden Protector 3 - Installation
- Use the tube and its pointed end to secure the device at the height of the animals to be repelled.
- The device emits ultrasonic noise on a horizontal plane in a given direction.
- Ideally it should be placed at the height of the pest to be repelled, with no obstacles between the device and the pest (detection would be disturbed and the ultrasonic noise would then be blocked by the obstacle).
- To protect a large area, or if there is dense foliage in the area to be protected, several devices may be necessary.
- Leave the Garden Protector 3 to function continuously to permanently repel the pests.
- The Garden Protector 3 is active as soon as it is switched on, but you have to wait up to 2 weeks before noticing a long-term change in the pests’ habits.
- You can also move the device around to avoid habituation.
- Never put your ear against thee Garden Protector 3. Keep out of reach of babies and children.
- Battery life depends on the number of activations.I f the device is faced with a large number of passing animals, the batteries will last less than if there are fewer passing animals.
